CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
Sun Prairie Civic Theater (SPCT) is proud to offer our High School Intern Program for Summer of 2025.
ELIGIBLE GRADES:
Grades 9-12 for the 25-26 School Year
GOAL:
The Intern Program seeks to pair students with adult mentors in specific fields of production elements.
This includes props, directing, costumes, choreography, vocals, lights, sound, set construction, scenic arts, stage
management, marketing, and hair/makeup.
Interns will work on their assigned areas of interest(s) throughout and learn the behind-the-scenes
aspects of a theatrical production. This program will also focus on various workforce and career readiness skills
including resume building, email communication, and professional behavior standards. This program is free to
participate in.
TIME COMMITMENT:
Once Upon A Mattress Jr.
Cast Grades: Grades 4-6
Intern Eligible Grades: 9-12
Rehearsals: Weeknights 5:30-8:00pm beginning June 16th
Tech Week: 5-9pm beginning 7/21
Performances: July 25-27
Something Rotten Jr.
Cast Grades: Grades 7 - 9
Intern Eligible Grades: 10-12
Rehearsals: Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 5:30-8pm beginning June 22nd
Tech Week: 5-9pm beginning 8/4
Performances: August 8-10
Various pre-rehearsal events will include pre-production meetings, intern orientation, and an audition workshop.
Interns are expected to be at rehearsals and all performances. Existing or potential conflicts should be openly
communicated during the interview process. A weekly intern meeting will be held throughout the process. As
needed, students will attend production meetings. Interns are able to participate in both youth productions if
they would like and the staff sees fit.
